What to Bring

South Florida is known for sunny days and warm temperatures (after all, our nickname is the sunshine state) but our weather can sometimes be pretty unpredictable.

Rain showers and thunderstorms are always a possibility and very hot days can be the norm for some months.

Below are some suggestions of what to wear/bring that will help make your day on the water all the more incredible.

All trips leave from the boat ramps of Everglades Holiday Park

(trips from Lake Ida in Delray Beach coming soon).

Fishing the Everglades is a bucket list trip for anglers all over the world.

One of the only true wild area's left in Florida, it’s an experience you won’t find anywhere else in the world.

Nicknamed the “River of Grass” due to its slow moving water through sawgrass marshes and vegitation, it’s something that every angler should experience.

The Everglades are the land of the dinosaur, the American alligator and you may be fishing alongside alligators of all sizes. It is also home to the Florida Largemouth bass, the Butterfly Peacock Bass (non native fish introduced by FWC in the 1980's),  Bowfin, Garfish, Crappie, Bluegill, Sunfish, Mayan Cichlids, Jaguar Cichlids, Oscar's and many more amazing, hard fighting fish.  You will also come across many different species of birds, amphibians, and mammals.  Its a truly immersive experience.
